I love this quote from “Anne of Green Gables” because it is exactly how I feel. Fall is my favorite season and Oct 1st is up there as one of my favorite days of the year. Not just because it is in the fall, but also because it marks the beginning of the holiday season and I just love everything about the next 3 months.
I have been practicing my watercolor painting which I love doing, and I found this tutorial for a watercolor tree and I used it to create this tree, but switched it to fall colors. My first try was really bad, but I was able to figure out what I did wrong and I love how it turned out! I then hand lettered the quote and scanned them both in to my computer (I used this tutorial to turn the painting into clip art) and put them together to make this print. I am seriously so in love with how it turned out. It is one of those times that I can’t believe I actually made it. 😂 I know I have a lot of room for improvement still for both my painting and my hand lettering, but is so satisfying to see how much I have improved already.
