Seattle Fall 2018

We had a very abnormally sunny October this year, and you know how much I love the rain, but October is the one month of the year I will take sunny weather over rain.  I want those leaves to stay on their trees and then there is nothing better than the bright yellows and oranges and reds shinning in the sunlight.  My mom and I went out a couple of different times and drove all over, Fremont, Mercer Island, Bellevue, Issaquah, Snoqualmie, North Bend… in search of beautiful fall leaves.  We may not have the mountains full of color like New England, but the city has really curated some beautiful color changing trees all throughout.  I love seeing all of them when I am driving around.  And because it was so dry the leaves on the ground actually got brittle and crunchy, I was like a kid walking around stopping in all of the piles.  That is one thing I have missed about living in Utah.  Then as November came around we have had the most beautiful mornings, with the fog and light together (which I have actually been awake for, thank you daylight savings).  And now that the leaves are gone, I keep crossing my fingers for some snow… none in the forecast yet.
