A few weeks ago, in the middle of June, when things here in the PNW were starting to open up again, I was able to take another little camping trip with my parents and sister, to the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon. We had planned this camping trip at the beginning of the year, and it was timed just right so that we only had to delay our reservations by one week but were still able to go. A lot of the most popular hikes and sites we wanted to do were still closed (either because of Covid or because of the fire in 2017), but we were still able to see quite a few waterfalls. I love this area, it is so beautiful. Oregon has some of my favorites spots. I loved the campground we stayed at. It was small and in such a pretty area, in the middle of the trees and right at the trailhead for a waterfall hike. During the days we drove around exploring the areas that were open and hiking to a bunch of waterfalls. Then in the evenings we hung out at the campground making a fire and cooking dinner and playing games. It was so fun!
