In January we went to the Leavenworth Ice Festival.  I have been wanting to go to Leavenworth for Christmas for a long time, and we just haven’t been able to make it, but they still had all of the Christmas decorations up so it was perfect.  I love this little German town.  The drive there was so pretty with so much snow, at the time we hadn’t gotten one single snowfall, so I was really excited about it.  I really love snow covered pine trees in the mountains.  Of course this was before “Snowmageddon” hit Seattle… which definitely fulfilled my snow cravings.  Our first stop was to get some bratwurst for lunch, with the best selection of mustard’s I have seen.  😋 Then we mostly just wandered around the town exploring the shops and watching some of the festivities going on.  And then got some crepes before heading back home.
