We spent the week of Christmas on the Oregon Coast with my family, and it was so great! I love the Oregon coast so much. We rented a house right on the top of a cliff overlooking the ocean and I had the best view out my bedroom window. It was perfect.
We spent the week visiting some different sites along the coast, hanging out at the house playing games or making/eating food, going for walks on the beach by our house or enjoying the view, Celebrating Christmas, the girls worked on cross stitching an ornament of one of our Oregon pictures, and of course holding my nephew as much as possible. My dad got him to give the most adorable laughs. There was a bit of a storm before we got there and the first couple of days were so moody and windy with the biggest waves, I loved it.
Some of my favorites excursions were: hiking God’s thumb (it was SOOO muddy, but at the end the most amazing climb and views), Cannon Beach, Heceta Head Lighthouse (a favorite every time I visit), exploring the tide pools, watching the waves at Thor’s well, getting ice cream at Tillamook, and Yaquina Head Lighthouse. We found one beach that had the craziest thick foam, I think it was from the storm. I have never seen anything like it.
